Apartment Kali Thea

We loved our stay in this typical little Cypriot village, off the beaten track, yet less than a 20-minute drive to Paphos with its beautiful beaches and many fabulous fish restaurants. The apartment is perfect with spacious and spotlessly clean rooms overlooking a lovely pool area. Best of all is its large terrace with the most spectacular views across the mountainside down to the sea. In the evening, we enjoyed the local wine and watched the sun slip down the sky changing the hills into a twinkling light show. There is also another smaller terrace to the rear of the apartment, (with more views!) providing wonderful cool breezes during the hotter months.. We arrived in time for the traditional Easter village festivities and wandered down through quaint little streets, just a stone’s throw away from our apartment, to sit in the friendly local bar on the village square to watch Greek dancing. What a great start to our holiday. We chilled by the pool and picked juicy oranges from the tree growing next to it – heaven…then took a short hike up to the monastery to soak up the culture. There was a trip to the local winery to learn the history of wine making and, of course, for a spot of wine tasting, well worth a visit..
