Yoga Retreat Philosophy

The Back to Basics yoga retreat has its inspiration in combining coming back to simple life in nature, as it's being set in a beautiful farmstay and serves delicious organic food, with coming back to beginners mind attitude in your practice, revising adjustment foundations and through that creating new space for exploring. The intention is through taking away the layers that don't serve us to go deeper in what is fundamental, not only in yoga practice but in every aspect of life in these 7 days. On the practical side, the structure of day to day is similar, with meditation and dynamic hatha practice in the morning, workshops every second day and yin, partner, pool or other kind of yoga practice in the afternoon. Introduction to meditation, assisted self practice and introduction to eight limbs of yoga of Patanjali aim at developing a better feeling of yoga beyond the limb of asanas and inspiring further self practice and study. The time between morning and afternoon sessions on the day without workshops is left to explore the beautiful surroundings and nature and optional non yoga related activities.
