Greenhouse Books

Combining a passion for literature with a view toward inspiring others by sharing our commitment to veganism and ethical living, we are offering much more than just a used book and coffee shop. We believe that a place of business should also be a place of community and so we will be hosting literary events each and every month.

These will include creative writing classes and a book-to-film comparison afternoon where we will obtain the chosen book for you and follow this with a screening of the film version. We welcome anyone who is looking for a venue in which to host a reading club or, for any aspiring writers out there, a platform to display their hidden talents.

At Greenhouse Books you will find books on everything from fiction, poetry and plays to sheet music and literary criticism, alongside a wealth of books on history, politics and the arts. If you can’t find what you’re looking for we will find it for you. Our home-made vegan cakes and coffee are served daily and if you don’t want to buy a book then feel free to thumb through a copy while you sit for a while in a relaxed and friendly environment.
