Dachshund Rescue
Luna’s Fosters is a specialized rescue. We are committed to the Dachshund breed, the hunters, the fearless short-legged and fierce dachshunds. We do accept other small breeds with special needs. We know it’s hard for the older dogs, the ones that require special care, so we try out best to help. However, we are limited in space by the number of foster homes that are willing to receive them. We do not have a shelter, so our little ones live in temporary homes (fosters) while they get ready for their forever homes.

As caring, professional and reputable pet fosterers we follow recommended guidelines that ensure our dogs have loving temperaments – they simply can’t wait to meet their new owners! As long as you treat your new pet with love and respect, they will do the same back. As a team, we are dedicated to doing our best for our dogs and, of course, our customers as well.
Diverse breeds
Our main goal is to provide abandoned, neglected and /or surrendered dachshunds, and other small breed special needs dogs, the necessary love and care, including vet care, to restablish them to be the loving pets they once were. We work on behavior and health so that they can become amazing family members. Our focus is on each and every dog we accept into rescue and work tirelessly to find them loving homes.
