Please be aware that the site is new and under construction , We just wanted to get something up so people could connect with us as soon as possible, And we welcome all input and feedback so please feel free. ________________________________________________ Meet our crew, Jennifer Peoples and Mikeal OToole have been part of the Sonoma County Peer Movement for over 30 years, Jennifer brought S.M.A.R.T. Recovery to Sonoma County , As well as Having a amazing story of her own , Mikeal OToole has work in both the peer movement and as a civil rights advocate for 35 years, Mikeal was co creator of Camp Michela the 1st homeless encampment totally controlled by the homeless , As well as sitting on The Sonoma County Mental Health Board as district 3 rep , The M.S.H.A. Advisory board and M.S.H.A. No place like home committee.

Our Mission

The mission of Sonoma County Peers and Recovery Alliance is to provide a platform in which peers with lived mental health and recovery have a true voice in the community, As well as to provide education to the public, agencies and organizations on the history as well as the current positive work being done in Sonoma County by peers. Our hopes in the future is to provide services in a spirit of true empowerment of peers and a voice in their all aspects of their live , quality of life, services and employment, It as well our hope to create a vehicle the will advocate and lobby for the rights of peers in all parts of our lives. And to work to restore the peer movement to it's true intent as set forth by our founders like Judy Chamberlin and Howie the Harp and in doing so fighting for true empowerment for mental health and recovery peers in all aspects of there lives . It is time to return to a steadfast alliance the has a unified voice that again will speak a resounding " Truly nothing about us, Without us !!"

Who and why Sonoma County Peers Recovery Alliance

The reason we have created S.C.P.R.A. is to create a true peer driven organization made up of only those with true lived experience to bring our history and stories to the forefront, and in doing so showing the true value of peers services and to advocate for equality for all peers in our community. We welcome anyone with lived mental health or recovery experience to join and become of part of the voice that is the peer movement in Sonoma County, Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for more information.
