When Poppy Sofocleous launched The Chi Facility in December 2019, it wasn’t because she was chasing a business plan. It was because life was pulling her in a new direction. After deciding to homeschool her son and reevaluate her work-life balance, she left the security of full-time employment behind. In its place, she chose to share her energy healing gifts with others, on her own terms.
Poppy has had a long career, thriving in the corporate world while navigating personal challenges that demanded her attention. She knew something had to change. Becoming a full-time mum became her top priority, so she made the choice to homeschool her eight-year-old son. That key decision created the space for her to finally embrace her true passion and purpose in life as an energy healer.

Through The Chi Facility, Poppy offers mobile energy healing sessions for both people and animals, visiting clients at their preferred locations to ensure they feel completely at ease. With years of success in holistic energy healing, she is devoted to promoting well-being and balance for all her clients.
At first, the decision brought more questions than clarity. The Chi Facility was up and running, but Poppy knew that building an online presence would be key to reaching new clients. For someone who describes herself as not being technically minded, and part of the generation just before schools started teaching computers, it was a big leap of faith.

Poppy knew that creating a digital presence was essential if she wanted to turn The Chi Facility into a sustainable business. But after exploring several options, she kept running into overly complex platforms that felt intimidating or impersonal. That’s when she discovered something different.

Her healing approach has evolved naturally as she began working with international clients. What started with local, in-person sessions grew into a connected online community, thanks to referrals and recommendations. By using WhatsApp and FaceTime, Poppy can now work with clients in real time across the globe, bringing her personal, grounded energy to each session no matter the distance.
And Poppy’s approach remains just as personal. Many clients call her directly after discovering her online, while others use the booking form or send a quick message through the site.
“I like the affordability of the service, too. I only work part-time, so I didn’t want a huge bill each month. The service is economical and suits my lifestyle perfectly.”

Lasting Balance and Renewal
While energy healing may be a personal, spiritual journey, running a business still requires determination. During the pandemic, Poppy leaned on the platform not just for tech support, but for emotional steadiness. Having a team that understood her business and stood by her during a difficult time meant everything.
Poppy also shares one of the most poignant moments in her work so far: a client once booked a session just to thank her for saving her mother’s life. About a year earlier, Poppy had worked with the woman’s mother and, without revealing any private client details, she was able to suggest urgent care that might have been overlooked at the time. Acting on that guidance, the family got her to the hospital in divine timing. For Poppy, that experience became a clear reminder of the importance of her holistic contribution and the role she plays in serving her local community.
Looking ahead, Poppy is planning to expand. As her son grows older and her schedule opens up, she’s manifesting a new season of growth, this time with in-person international workshops. And her website is ready to grow with her.
She dreams of eventually being able to meet her international clients face-to-face, not just through a screen. For Poppy, the future holds the possibility of offering workshops abroad, where she can share healing in person and give clients the nurturing hug that only physical presence can provide.
“I feel like I’ve kind of grown with the business, and as you’ve expanded, my website has expanded too. It’s a very holistic service. You adapt to people’s needs, and that’s so important.”
